Learning About the Design Features of the Pentagon

The Pentagon is the storied headquarters of the U.S. Department of Defense, along with all four branches of the military. This building is a popular attraction on many sightseeing tours. It’s located in Arlington, Virginia, just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. It was built during the early years of World War II to streamline military operations and consolidate departments. Today, it’s still one of the world’s largest office buildings.
