Ocean City
Ocean City, Maryland is one of the most visited beach towns in the Mid-Atlantic. There are only 7,000 residents in the wintertime—but in the summer, Ocean City becomes the second-largest city in Maryland. With a two-and-a-half-mile boardwalk, you and your friends or family will have plenty of people watching and shopping to do. Ocean City also has a large amusement park, a skate park, and lots of night clubs.
Virginia Beach
Long regarded as a family-friendly beach destination, Virginia Beach is clean, beautiful, and spacious. The beach itself is 300 feet wide and is lined by a three-mile oceanfront boardwalk made from concrete. There are beautiful state parks in the area, as well as the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge for those who like hiking, kayaking, and biking. In Virginia Beach, you can go fishing and golfing, or get on a boat to go whale and dolphin watching. There are much plenty of historic landmarks and restaurants in Virginia Beach for those who enjoy the beach atmosphere without actually going to the beach.
Myrtle Beach
Located on Grand Strand, a large and continuous strip of beach on the South Carolina coast, Myrtle Beach is a major destination for beachgoers. Myrtle Beach is known for warm, sunny weather that gives it a fantastic beach season from April to October.
